Win 7 x64 System Restore hogging HDD access
Laptop; Windows 7 Home Premium; x64; 240GB HDD/52.9GB used.
Problem: System Restore constantly accesses HDD at or near 100% level. (see attached screen shots of Resource Monitor)
*SR works normally in Safe Mode
*Have tried New Account with nothing else running in the background; still SR is a HDD hog
*SR says it actually creates a backup file, so it's working properly, I assume, in that fashion
*System Volume Information file(s) are created and accessed; Multiple background and normal mode(s) are seen in screenshots; Multiple SVI files are seen with various title numbers
As I've searched for answers to the prroblem, I've noted that MS has no links nor advice for this/these symptoms on their help blogs.
Thank you for your help, in advance!
