unallocated drive lost the data

    unallocated drive lost the data


    i was using a third party patition manager and suddenly i saw that my big hdd was lost in my computer and when i opened the disk management then it was unallocated then i right clicked it and assing a drive letter then i was appeared but i really killed me when i saw whole drive was vacant . then i formatted it . now i lost all the data which were very inportant , now why the disk was unallocated ? had it lost the data when it was unallocated? or it lost when formatted it? now please give me idea how to recover it....

    Once you format a drive any data on it is lost...no way to recover it. Just being unallocated you could have still recovered the data. There are some professional services out there that do that type of recovery...military, police forensics and specialty companies....but it's all very expensive and not guaranteed.

    thanks for the reply .....but what about the data recovery software like esseus data recovery ,,etc.....they just guarantee the data reacovery ....wont they work?

    thanks for the reply .....but what about the data recovery software like esseus data recovery ,,etc.....they just guarantee the data reacovery ....wont they work?

    No software app can guarantee data recovery, period. They will try, and some will work better than others, but if data was overwritten and/or there were hardware faults, software recovery apps can not work around those.
