problem with status 0xc0000225
i have the same problem with status 0xc0000225. I wondered why this is because the recovery partition is at the same position than before but now it looks like it is because i created an extended partition.
I first had to replace my 180GB SSD with a 1TB SSHD because i only have one disc space. I did this with clonezilla and windows ran fully fine on it then. But i want to use all space and need 3 partitions.
I tried it this way:
8GB Recovery Partition win 7
100MB Windows Boot
120GB Fast Backup
772GB Remaining partition
Unfortunately i learned that its not possible to have more than 4 partitions. I was told to create an extended partition and place logical partitions inside. I did this. I deleted all partitions except the recovery and the 100mb boot one. Then i created a big extended and put the 3 logical inside.
Now, when i start i get this error. I thought ok, its normal because windows doesnt live anymore. But the recovery partition is there still. So i dont know whats the problem.
Why cant windows work with logical partitions? I mean extended partitions were created to circumvent the problem of only having 4 partitions. So it should be doable to install windows on such partition isnt it?
I cant make the partitions basic because then i only can create 4 partitions. The 100mb partition cant be deleted can it?
I heard that windows 8 even creates 5 or 6 small boot partitions. But thats maybe some different technique with UEFI and so on.
So what can i do now? I would like to use the recovery partition to install windows again on the logical partition. But the way it looks in this thread windows cant even work with logical partitions.
