backup stops at 15% will not continue
the backup function starts fine but at exactly 15% stops dead. I've turned off virus protectors, etc and tried 4 times same fault. The backup is going to a DVD . Any suggestions ? Thanks Wilfj

Hi.
I had the same problem after upgrading from Vista Home Basic to 7 Home Premium.
Also could not create a restore point.
Spent 2 Days solid looking through forums etc. and this is what I've found. (If you've solved your problem, then I apologise in advance).
This is what worked for me.
Go into System Protection and turn off the system protection for your hard drive(s). Re-boot computer, then turn on system protection for your drive(s), create a restore point, then run a back-up.
It worked first time for me, after spending hours and hours trying to solve this little problem.
Good luck!
thanks for the tip ! How simple when shown how. Works just fine, thanks again
I strongly recommend using an external drive for backups.
DVDs are troublesome and many. 1 external drive can hold many backups.
I use an external usb drive for backups.
No problem wilfj.
Glad to be of help. :)
