Full byte for byte copy disc

Hi, All my HD's are in caddies and I would like to make a full copy (for emergencies) of my C: Win7PRO 64bit.
Can you reccomend software please, I will be using a Spare HD connected to USB3 Port & Sata caddy, I want to be able to make a bootable full copy of C: Drive, I don't mind if I have to buy software, in the past with W2000 and XP I used Norton Ghost. I have tried this recently with Acronis & Clone Drive etc but never had any luck (i.e. not bootable)
