need help with Acronis restoring, doesn't see C: drive

Hi, I'm having a terrible time trying to restore using Acronis 2010 or even with latest 2013 version.

I'm running three OS's: Win7 x64, Vista x64 and FreeBSD.

I originally backed up my Win7 x64 and Vista x64 partitions with Acronis 2010 last year. I need to restore at least my Win7 partition but Acronis won't let me do it. When I boot from the Acronis cd it doesn't see my C: drive.

I was able to convert the .tib file to a .vhd file and try to do a system image restore booting from the Win7 install dvd but it doesn't recongnize the .vhd file.

I have been able to restore from these acronis backups in the past so I'm lost, can someone help please? Thanks.

I seem to have answered my own question. Acronis didn't like the way the hard disk was formatted. It gave a fleeting message something about not liking 'EZ' or dynamic disks. So I reformatted and the Win7 restore came out fine, the Vista partition however logs in with the 'temporary profile' thing.

Anyone else using or tried this this? Its free for everyone, but for users of Acronis 2010 it intregrates into it. So far to me, it seems to be worth having. Provided its able to give advanced warning would be nice. I make drive images and back ups often, but still I like the idea...
