W7 event viewer message 2155348010 backup failure

Backup stops but gives no error message. Event viewer does give a message on the event as '2155348010' All prior answers are over 900 days old...

There are other answers through google. What I see is your backup drive doesn't use 512 byte sectors.
But you didn't say what backup drive you're using.

This is way over my head. The backup drive is an external drive 3.0 Terra Bytes...connected by USB 2

Plug "event 2155348010" into google. I'm no expert on sector sizes, but it seems that's the issue.
Mostly with Samsungs, but with others too.

Don't let "server backup" throw you. I've read that Win 7 uses the same backup software.
    Anyway. that's where I'd start.
Or, if you can successfully do the backup to another drive, that would settle the question.

BTW, using a different backup utility, such as Macrium, could also be the fastest solution.
You can search this forum for very good info on Macrium.
