How to read/open Samsung Recovery files (.w01)?

Hey guys, I can't restore my system from my Samsung recovery drive. It gets like halfway done, then fails. I don't know what else to do... Is there a way to open these file without using Samsung bull**** recovery software? Please, help. Thank you!

Seems to be a proprietary format from winclon

If they do a trial version for home users, that will probably open/mount the files.

It doesn't seem there is a trial version, sadly. You are stuck unless 7zip or similar can open it, which I doubt.

Why not just get the win7 iso and install from that - you should have a product key on a sticker, perhaps under the battery.
