Fresh Win7 install; can't see restored files

    Hi Everyone,

From my Win 7 install, I did a backup to my second drive (I have two drives - one has the Win7 install and the other for data). So I copied data from the Win7 drive to the second drive; did a fresh install of Win7, then moved files back from the second drive to the Win7 drive.

Now the issue I'm facing is, that I can't see any of these files in the Win7 drive, even though the Win7 drives shows 13GB used space and I've set it to "show hidden and system files"

I've tried every method I know of (including search, etc...) but can't see anything,.

Would really appreciate some help on this, pls.

Hello and welcome bizres mate you might try Partition Wizard Best Free Partition Manager Freeware and free partition magic for Windows 7, Windows 8, Windows Vista and Windows XP 32 bit & 64 bit. MiniTool Free Partition Manager Software Home Edition.

Click on the partition you see where that data is and then click Explore. See my pic it should open out and then you can further open out as you want.

I suppose another thing is how did you transfer the data?

Oh and some system specs would be good System Info - See Your System Specs

Thanks for the warm welcome, ICit2lol.

I just did a move to transfer the data.
I am currently doing the "Partition Wizard" method you've suggested and will post the results..

No probs it's a good little tool that one I would be hanging onto t for future use mate.

If you need a little more out of the machine try some of this only just remebr if you ever get a SSD not to defrag it. Optimize Windows 7
