Windows 7: Backup That Configures to Delete??

Backup That Configures to Delete??

I'm probably shooting for the moon here, but is there a product, that will not only just backup changes on the drive after the initial backup, but that can be programmed to delete the previous backups, after a certain time period, backup the whole drive again, backup only changes, after a certain time, do the process all over again.

I ask this because I have not found any way to program my Acronis and Ghost programs to do that, and after a period of time, my external hard drive fills up, and I have to go in, delete, and start over.

Thanks in advance,

Jack

I used to use Acronis, but now use Macrium. I don't see any way to do it in Macrium either.

I just manually delete old back ups. Not that big of a problem.

You mean something like this?

week 1: full backup
week 2: changes since last full backup
week 3: changes since last full backup
week 4: changes since last full backup
.
.
week 10: changes since last full backup
week 11: full backup

Is this what you want v5: How are backup sets created and maintained? (Backup Sets, Differential, Incremental) ? If so, you can schedule the backups... for example full backup on 1st of month. Differental backups each monday but except first of month.
