Images are not bootable by themselves. They are used to restore a drive or partition. What is needed for a bootable backup is cloning to another drive. A cloned drive is a bootable duplicate of the original drive. Macrium Reflect does an excellent job of cloning.

    Thanks for great post..
But my actual problem: I have Asus g75vw notebook. I feel the needness of making new partition after deleting the old partition. But when I delete all partitions & create new partition, the Windows 7 H.Pre will be gone..
Moreover, it is not possible to me to buy windows 7 H.Pre
So I have to save my windows & install later...
If you need to know more about my problem, then please comment below....
    Tnx

Before going any farther, why do you feel the need to replace the original Windows partition?

My notebook has 4 partitions about 1 TB (the whole HDD in 4 partitions)
But I need 3 partitions in the whole 1 TB HDD...
    I think about new thing:
    "1st I delete 3 of 4 partition without C
Then it will automatically make unallocated space.
Then I shrink the unallocated space as I need"

You can use macrium to make a clone or an image. Most people use images.
