Hey Guys,
I recently setup a Home Server that allows me to automatically backup my computer files to the network server. The server is running Windows 7 Ultimate but I've slimmed a lot of things down and turned off a lot. It has two hard drives
1. 40GB HD - With the OS
2. 1TB HD - For storage
Each time I try to backup my files I get an error so far the errors have been the following:
- The backup was not successful. The error is: Access is denied. (0x80070005).
- The backup was not successful. The error is: The system cannot find the path specified. (0x80070003).
- The backup was not successful. The error is: The system cannot find the file specified. (0x80070002).
- The backup was not successful. The error is: A backup cannot be done to a remote shared folder which is not hosted on a volume formatted with NTFS. (0x807800B0).
and
- The backup operation that started at '2009-10-22T22:03:36.307200000Z' has failed with following error code '2155348315' (Windows Backup encountered an error when accessing the remote shared folder.). Please review the event details for a solution, and then rerun the backup operation once the issue is resolved.
- The backup operation that started at '2009-10-22T22:25:55.987200000Z' has failed with following error code '2147942402' (The system cannot find the file specified.). Please review the event details for a solution, and then rerun the backup operation once the issue is resolved.
Sometimes if I click View Details to see what went wrong it will just come back with "Access Denied" resulting in this in the Event Viewer: The backup was not successful. The error is: Access is denied. (0x80070005).
I would love to use backup, but I can't get it working. Please help.
