Simple & Reliable backup software to USB drive? Needed

Is there software that will simply backup, monitor a few folders for any changes and produce incremental backups while immediately backing up any changes or additions to a USB drive...preferably free software or inexpensive?

Thanks!

Personally I've always used AutoVer. If you set it up correctly it will instantly back up any files or folders whenever a change is made to the contents. The key is - setting it up correctly!

I have been using SyncBack Free for a long time now to backup all my data onto my External drive.

It can easily be configured to backup the way you like. It is version 3.2.21.0. I haven't updated it since I installed and started using it for there is no need for it.(The current version is v6)

How reliable is W7 backup?
I normally copy and paste my files to an external disk but it does mean that I'm using up an awful lot of space on that disc because they aren't incremental backups, just copies and I don't delet previous versions. I was thinking about using W7 backup and after one main backup was going to use...
