Dual-Boot Win7/Win7 restore points - Any special considerations?

I see Windows 7/XP dual-boot can have restore points issues so have to ask about best practices for Windows 7/Windows 7. Since my drive is partitioned for Windows 7/Windows 7/Data is it simply a matter of setting restore points On/Off/Off while in respective OS's?

Hello Golem,

Yeah, as long as you don't have system protection turned on for the same partition in both OS's, you should be fine.

Since those two Win 7 are in seperate partitions, they each have their own shadowstorage. There should be no problem.

But for good protection, you should make images. Restore points are not very reliable.

Much appreciate the quick and concise replies! Good to hear I'm on track.

Point taken about imaging. I do do it but like many find complacency a problem and don't image as often as I should.

Schedule your images. That is easily done in Macrium. Just right click on the XML definition file.
