Possible to set-up multiple Windows Backup tasks?

I'm a long-time Acronis guy and just set-up a new W7HP computer for my sister. She has been terrible at making sure to do ATI backups in the past ("too complicated") so I thought I would try built-in Windows Backup & Restore which appears to automate everything for her. But it only makes one backup (set) to one location (drive).

What I would really like to do, if it is possible, is set-up TWO separate backup tasks: for example, to do a DAILY backup to the computer's built-in D:\DATA drive, and a second WEEKLY backup to an external USB Seagate FreeAgent drive. Possible?

With my own home setup my PCs use similar-but-different Windows backup routines to do multiple daily/weekly/monthly backups to my WHS2011. Is there any way to achieve similar functionality in built-in B&R for a standalone PC w/external drive?

I'm thinking perhaps to manually make multiple Tasks in Task Scheduler, copying/duplicating the existing task but then changing the time(s) of execution? Has anyone here tried this, or know reasons this won't work?

I will give it a try then, just as soon as I get her USB drive to survive "resume from Hibernate"!!!

    Thanks I will report back...
