    Problem recoverying from system image

now i have almost the exact same problem as this guy:
Problem recoverying from backup via USB 3.0 external drive

the difference is i can find the system image if i look for it in WinPe, only problem is that its not recognized as a system image but as a folder, and it does not pop up on the list of valid system images

so the problem is not reading the hardrive, its reading the file i would figure

anyone know how to solve this?

    My sympathies.

Nothing really to contribute to help you out I'm afraid, but I do recommend you switch to Macrium Reflect (either "free" or Standard) for use as your "system image" methodology going forward in the future. There's honestly no comparison with the very limited and restrictive and cumbersome and potentially unreliable Windows equivalent.

The beneficial simple ability to store multiple "system image" backup datasets on a single target drive (and in a folder of your own choosing) instead of being limited to just one with a specific name cannot be appreciated enough, not to mention the other functional enhancements available in the product.
