    bootmgr is compressed how can i fix it


    my laptop is dell d630 i have download window restore in usb but when i select usb nothing appear on the desktop

    Follow the instructions in this turtorial: BootMGR Compressed Message at Boot Fix
    It is Vista but it will work for Win7 too. But could you provide more details for other members?

    am sorry i think my explanation is not enough but what i mean is that i download wind7 usb download tool when i put it in my laptop and press f12 and i select usb nothing appear in the desktop.help please

    Could you post the website you downloaded the tool from?
    Are you having problems with your computer other than this tool you downloaded?

    yes and the aim to download this software was to solve my problem i get a message when i switch on my laptop, bootmgr is compressed.

    Did you read, understand and complete the tutorial that Computer0304 posted in post #2?

    You might have to change your boot priority to have your USB/DVD drive to be before your HDD.
