What exactly is your system repair folder?
Please explain what problems your computer has and what you are trying to do.
sorry should say system image ..... I made a system image saved on separate internal hard drive but wanted to save to a cloud based thing for want of better words but didn't now if this was safe to do ?
To me anything in a cloud is subject to bad things happening to a larger degree than keeping your image in house.
On my computer I do as you have done. Save it to a separate drive.
If you have access to the internet with just that computer a image in a cloud would not help.
While you might be able to save images to a "cloud", even if you could do a restore from the "cloud", I would advise strongly against it -- as any drop in network connection would cause the restore to fail. You want to run a restore from something hard-wired to your PPC, preferable, an external drive or another internal drive.
I wouldn't restore from a cloud site just save the system file there I was asking is this safe to do ?
Each cloud has it's own security. As far as I know nobody know which one is safer than the others.
Whether it is safe or not is always a question.
I know for sure it is safer on a separate hard drive that you have position of.
Any "cloud provider" is going to say YES -- after all, they want your business.
If external drives cost a fortune (which they don't), or using them to do backups and restores was really difficult (which it's not), then I could see using "the cloud" as a cheap, simple solution.
But personally, I'm not will to trade the security of keeping my valuable data local to me, for the convenience of transferring it across a network to a sever farm over which I have absolutely no control.
But ... that's just my choice.
Yje cloud is as safe as the cloud owners made it. But why on earth would you want to put your whole system there - including passwords, product keys, etc.
