    System Restore Disks

Hi ya guys! Listen I am a bit puzzled here. I have a Windows 7 'System Repair' disk AND a Win 7 'Boot-able Recovery Disk. Both disks have slightly different contents. ????

I have done some investigating, and found that many people refer the the 'Repair' disk as boot-able?

I know that the difference may be thin here, but there IS a difference, certainly in the CD's that I have here!

    Anyone enlightened here please?

Hello Gloops, and welcome to Seven Forums.

The Windows 7 bootable recovery disc sounds like it is your OEM factory recovery disc that is used to reinstall Windows back to the default factory conditions (out of box) state.

The system repair disc can only be used to boot to the System Recovery Options screen. It is not Windows installation media, and cannot install Windows.

    Hope this helps, :)

Sorry, we were not notified since you only edited your post instead of posting a new reply here.

No. Your Win7PE disc (1st screenshot) looks to be the same as a System Repair disc (2nd screenshot).

Only your Windows installation disc (3rd screenshot) is able to install Windows.
