Windows 7 Cannot create System Restore Point
I just got done making a clean install on Windows 7 Ultimate 64-bit on a SSD drive. Then I noticed that whenever I was doing a System Update, it would try to create a restore point for many minutes and then give up and proceed with the update. Well, the bottom line is, I can't create a system restore point. I've basically tried everything that I could find on the subject: 1. Made sure that Task Scheduler and Volume Shadow Copy services were on Auto and turned on; 2. Turned System Restore off in the System Protection tab, rebooted, and then re-enabled it on the C; 3. Ran sfc /scannow which gave the system a clean bill of health; 4. Tried using Macrium to make an image, which did nothing. I don't know what else to do. Any suggestion would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!
BTW, the error message that I get after a failed attempt to create a Restore Point is: The creation of shadow copy has timed out. Try this operation again. (0x81000101)
