System restore three options

Hello!

Can you please help me with choosing proper system restore type. What is the difference between Automatic Restore point and the first one on this picture? What should I choose?

Hello Mir01M, and welcome to Seven Forums.

The Type of restore point basically just lets you know why it was created.
  • "Install" means that a restore point was created before the "Description" was installed to be able to undo it if needed.
  • "System" means that Windows created the restore point as part of the automatic (from description) schedule.
As far as which one you want to select, it would depend on the date you want to restore Windows back to how it was at that date and time.

The first restore point was created when the software mentioned was installed.
The other 2 were regularly scheduled restore points.
Typically you would choose the most recent restore point that was prior to the problem you are attempting to fix.

Brink and LMiller7 thank you for your reply!

I wanted to ask you about this previous option, why its showing only local disk D? Should I be worried about this if I choose restore system?

Sometimes the drive letters do not match at boot with what they show while in Windows.

If that's the same drive (check size), then I wouldn't worry about it.

There's no need to since your Windows drive is recognized at boot.

The "Load Drivers" option is only used to load your floppy SATA drivers if the Windows drive was not automatically recognized at boot.
