    How delete System Image Backup

If I understand what I did correctly, when I first created a System Image Backup, Win 7 created a folder on a External drive called WindowsImageBackup.

I would like to start fresh with a new full System Image Backup. But, I think I need to delete the folder already created. My supposition is that I can just move to this directory on my External drive and through Windows Explorer, delete it. But this is a supposition.

    Will somone advise?

Yes, you can certainly rename it or simply delete it. I've done both.

If you rename it, what does that do? Does that give you an earlier backup you can revert to (albiet, one with a different name?)

If I had to do a complete restore and for some odd reason I wanted that earlier backup, would I be able to get to it?

I think you would have to name the folder back to the original if you wanted to use it.
