Re-imaging to an SSD with partitions setup differently

My config has 2 SSDs, each with a bootable version of Windows 7 Home Premium.
The two SSDs are partitionned differently - see below.

I have imaged both SSDs; so I have a Disk0 Image, and a Disk1 Image.

    My requirement:
    Re-image (using Win7 repair) Disk0 Image onto Disk1.

When I attempt to do this I receive the following error:
No disk that can be used for recording the system disk can be found

    Questions:

    • How should I image Disk0 in order to be able to restore it on Disk1?
    • Do I need to repartition Disk1 myself prior to the restore?

    THANX in advance!

Here is the way my SSDs appear:

I assume you are trying to restore disc 0 to partition H on disc 1?

I think that is complicated by the fact that partition H is a logical partition (bordered in green).

If you want to restore the image disc 0 to disc 1, I assume you have nothing on disc 1 that you need to keep. So I'd wipe disc 1 before I began, eliminating the logical partition H and the system reserved partition.

Disc 0 has no system reserved partition, but if it's bootable now, that shouldn't matter and it should be bootable when restored to disc 1.

Having said that, it sounds like you are using Windows Backup (??). It may have some other peculiarities that are standing in your way. If it failed again, I'd probably try Macrium Reflect.
