Does Win7 Backup also create a system image

Subject pretty much says it all!

Does Win7 Backup also create a system image, or do I need to create an image separately?
    Thanks

If you went to "Create a System Image", then yes.

Thanks for your reply, but still not clear.

I know about the manual "create system image" button. What I am asking is, is it redundant to create the manual system image if you are already doing a backup (ie in addition to backing up libraries, etc. does the backup ALSO create the image?)

    Thanks

A data backup does not create an image. An image is the copy of everything on the partition that you image - not just data folders. For imaging I recommend to use free Macrium and not the Windows facility. It will save you a lot of headaches.

By default the widows scheduled back includes an image. If you just want to run a data backup you need to go through the "change settings" routine and uncheck the box.

BTW I also recommend Macrium for creating images.
