After I finish moving files, would it make sense to create a new guest account for the same reason?

There is a folder called "Tracing" in the Kat folder that I've not seen before. It has a folder labeled "WPPMedia" and a file labeled "Communicator-uccapi-0.uccapilog". Should I delete this folder?

my music, my videos, my pictures are as you want it now?
Desktop has all the icons again?
Internet favorites in internet explorer are back again?

Any other stuff you want to move from old to new profile? Look in old profile what is still there and look in its folders (except appdata folder!)

Tracing.... is for crashes. No need to move
WPPMedia is for windows mediaplayer. Will be recreated automatically.
Communicator-uccapi-0.uccapilog ... looks like a log file. Useless.

I don't see my bookmarks in Firefox, but everything else seems to look good.

    Many bookmarks?
Most likely they are in c:\users\oldusername\appdata\....\mozilla\....somefolder
But faster is to recreate them. you also have to reinstall all addins. And configure all software because all settings are default now.

Now it's time to enable system restore on C drive. All other drives... it's up to you
System Protection - Turn On or Off
and create a restore point manually.

Afterwards you can go back in time in case of problems!

Done! I will just recreate my bookmarks (probably had too many in the first place). My system protection is on. I also created a new guest profile - just in case.

I can't thank you enough. I know this has been a process, but you hung in there with me and helped me solve this problem. So, thank you very much.

In the future, what should I do about Windows updates? Should I be concerned?
