    Recovery Environment

Hi there. I am trying to restore a Windows 7 PC; I do have a recovery file, containing boot.sdi and an eMachines wim archive (it's got Program files, RYTools, Windows, Setup, etc...). If I copy those to a CD (they aren't over 700MB), is this a sufficient setup to boot and reinstall my system? In different forums they talk about all sorts of files necessary, like for instance wim.boot... Thanks in advance for your help.

It's hard to say whether you have all the files required. But WimBoot is not required. Read here:

Thank you, whs. But the disc with boot.sdi and winre does not boot. So I am still searching how to recover the system. Windows Repair does not detect the recovery folder.
