Installing Windows with a System Image from a different computer...dri

    Hi Everyone,

I am attempting to restore a Windows 7 image from one computer to another. I understand that the 'Backup & Restore' functionality, which I used to create a system image, is not intended to be used between different computer models, however I am giving this a go anyway. I have successfully installed the image backup from computer 'A' to computer 'B' however computer 'B' is presenting a BSOD, as shown below -

I was able to find some information online related to this error, it mostly pertains to Windows XP, but I believe that it is still relevant.

    https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/kb/324103

I strongly believe that the issue relates to drivers, so I am wondering if there is 1). Any 'low level' way of adding relevant drivers to a Windows 7 installation without booting into Windows at all?, 2). Whether alternative drivers could be added to the system image?

Any help here will be greatly appreciated.

    Kind Regards,

    Davo

It will not work as your current drivers and settings are all for the old motherboard if your going to do that you backup the first pc with something like acronis or macrium-reflect that supports universal restore, then you must universal restore it. Macrium Reflect Free Download the trial of home so you ca do redeploy (their universal restore).
