System Restore points not being saved

I was having trouble with system restore points being said that they were created. Then when id go to use them they would not be there. I found a simple solution to solve this issue. It is... simply put in your windows installation CD and do an UPGRADE install over your existing operating system. This is what fixed the problem in my system
Hope this helps!

I want to save a system restore point to disc, but it seems to only let me save the most recent one, whereas I want to save the oldest one to disc. Where is it located on my hard drive, and can I manually send it to a disc or flash drive if I can find it? Thank you for your help!
