Reinstalling Win7 Home Premium on preinstalled laptop

Hey guys, I know this has probably been asked tons of times before, but I could not find an easy answer to my problem during my search.

I have a laptop that came preinstalled with Windows, and I want to do a clean reinstall when I switch to a SSD harddrive. I tried to download Windows from the Microsoft homepage with my product key, but I am not allowed because it came preinstalled.

Is there any easy way to work around this, and still use my existing key?

Thanks in advance for you answer.

Clean Reinstall - Factory OEM Windows 7

    Tutorial above.

You need to pay particular attention to step 1 to find a source for the ISO that can be burned to a disc. Or else borrow an install disc from someone.

Or give up on the idea of a clean install and instead transfer the current OS to the SSD via a clone or image.

Or hold your fire for 3 months or so and try to take advantage of the "free upgrade" offer to Windows 10, despite all the unknowns about that process.
