    system image without user files

i'm cleaning up a pc f'or my parents - there's 200gigs of files in the user space that are backed up, but its never had a system image - everything is on one partition. what is the easiest way to make a system image without the user files - do i have to make a separate partition for the user files and if so what needs to stay in the user space on the original partition - appdata?

    thanks

It should be possible but requires some setting up. You need to see which folders the user files take space.

    Download WizTree portable (https://antibody-software.com/web/so...ur-hard-drive/)
and post screenshots of C and C:/Users/<youraccountname> - lets see what kind of files you have

Idea is to exclude certain files/folders from the backup.

Macrium free (which is the most popular here) doesn't have this feature as far as I know
You can use Paragon Backup and Recovery 14 free instead

I guess best approach would be just adding another drive and moving the user files(or profile) there:
    - User Folders - Change Default Location or
    - User Profile - Change Default Location
