System restor fail, json files damaged. How serious is & what to do?

    Hello,
I am scratching my head since last evening. When I attempted to windows system from a previous date, it fails to restore all the time, showing error message something like 0xc0000020 or something

I researched in the net and followed all of the following advise:

    1) do scan check. I have done that both on the normal and safe mode. scfdetails delivered the following damaged files. When I try to identify these files in the installation DVD which came along the computer (Dell Latitude), I couldn't trace any file with *.json extension. In the DVD, I looked at sources\Install.wim\3

    2) I tried to create back up Image with a DVD but my the computer disc driver couldn't recognize the DVD and as a result I couldn't name it to be used for this purpose

    3) I tried to make startup repair from the installation DVD but unfortunately, there is only "Install now" link and couldn't find "Back up and restore" link. I didn't want to reinstall as the re-installation may remove all applications installed in the C drive

    4) I realized that F8 is not working to go back to safe mode. What I have done was to switch of the computer and restart. From there, the computer gives me the list of options (safe mode, safe mode with network, etc). But I couldn't see "Back up and restore option

I am desperate and do not know what to do. If I reinstall, it would be a hell of work to reinstall all applications back to the c drive as some I have several of them

Is there any tool that can fix the above? scan check failed to repair them. Are these json files serious ones? For now, the windows function "correctly" despite slows and restoration problems. Will leaving this issue as is cause a serious problem any time in the days ahead? I observed this problem when I noticed avast alert for virus when I install a freeware. Then, I suddenly went to undertake system restore as I do some times. In the past it did work all the time but this time no chance.

Uhhh, any help would be highly appreciated.

1- Those 2 files are not actually corrupt, this is a known issue. You can just disregard or uninstall KB3022345 and KB3068708 (and hide them next time offered).

2- No idea if I even understand what you mean

3- When you get to the "Install Now" screen, there should be a link in lower left "repair your computer", click that one

4- The option for repair in F8 menu is not always there as I have heard. You can use installation DVD/USB or a repair disk (CD/DVD or USB) for your bit version of Windows.

** If you don't have backups of your files, anything on C will probably be formatted if you install over it. **

I will let experienced people lead you with your original issue.
