WD Elements no data

    WD Elements no data


    I backed up my entire PC before my windows 7 reinstall. After doing my reinstall my WD hard drive has no data what so ever. Its blank!

    Why is this?

    What program did you use to back up your system before you did the reinstall?.

    Did you disconnect all the hard drives other than the one you wanted to reinstall Windows to before you did the reinstall of Windows?.

    I used acronis. I'm positive i unplugged my HD then reinstalled windows.

    If there was data on this HDD (2,j) then it looks like it's been reformatted. You could try MiniTool Partition Wizards "Partition Recovery Tool" and see if it finds anything to recover.

    Make sure you are working on the right drive.

    Who knows. Your drive is showing zero data at the moment. In these circumstances you have to make the decision.

    Well it finished after 8 hours but nothing came back, it didn't even give you a message saying unable to retrieve data just a window saying click finish.
