I'm curious why the DM screen print in post #3 shows an [E] partition in the upper pane, but [E] is not shown in the lower panes for the drives.
I don't remember ever seeing that before

I found my old thread where i saw some differences for Disk Management vs. Partition Wizard, and jumanji explained it.
Why does Partition Wizard show a GPT (Reserved Partition) ?

That's why i suggested using a PW bootable CD to see what it shows.

I have created an early system image and would like to create another one, after using the machine for a while. I found that if I create another system image it will overwrite the earlier one. That would defeat the purpose of having that early system image. Is there a way around this?

When my Win 7 computer was new I created a System Image (In Backup & Restore). Is it necessary to keep updating this backup or having created the System Image is that it? Mind you having read some of the posts here I wonder if it is worth it. Thanks for any advice.
