OK so does that mean I am to make a system image of the other computer? Even though it is a different manufacturer?

OK, so my Acer crashed... created a system repair disk from the computer that has the same OS on it but from a different manufacturer. I ran it on the broken computer and then it said windows in loading.... and the language screen came up. when I accepted that I got the above screen with two options, one to select the operating system and if not visible (which it isn't) I can load drivers, OR 2 restore my computer using a system image that was created earlier. I just want my Acer to work.....
Will the system recovery disks have the drivers that I need on there if it is specific to my system from Acer?
So the recovery disks that I got from Acer for my specific computer do not have a system image on it?
I guess we are stuck with wording. For me a system image is a file that was produced with an imaging program. The installation and repair disk that you got from Acer has the system files on it. But that is not an image in my book - although I admit that my definition might be debatable.
OK, so when it is asking to restore from a system image, can I use the Acer recovery disks? Will it be on them? I don't know what all is on those disks. I thought everything, but I wouldn't be surprised if I was wrong.
The system files are on the recovery disk but not a system image. You can use the Acer system files to reinstall the system or to repair the system.
ok, so would the drivers be on the recovery disks. And why would there not be a system image on the disk? What did I buy them for? ugggggghhhh
My guess would be that the most common drivers are on the discs. An image you have to make yourself - like this:
Imaging with free Macrium
So I put the system recovery disk in there and it says there is no image on this computer and to attach the backup hard disk OR insert the final DVD from a backup set and click retry. So if I put the last disk in the third of three than it should be on there, right?
