Paragon and Macrium Reflect

Is Paragon and Macrium Reflect are by the same company Paragon Software of UK? If so, what is the difference.

Are the file structures and restore compatible???

Two Different Vendors

As far as I can tell they are two different and separate software businesses. The file are not comaptiable (interchangeable). If you see where they are owned by the same people post back.

I always thought Paragon was German

and Macrium is made by the Paramount Software group UK.

As a Wikipedian, I hang my head in shame. Didn't even bother to look there, as I normally would do.

I found this link by DDG. It seems to be the same owners, but different software. It's a good way to test the waters.

Paragon Software Group UK is not listed in Wikipedia, but it is displayed below the Macrium Reflect logo of the installed software.

As far as I am aware, MJF is correct. One is Paragon Software and the other is Paramount Software

I have Macrium and have restored with it a couple of times with no problem. What I am wondering is that if my HD were fried and I had to get a new one, would Macrium backup to a new formated drive just as easy?

I'm a long time fan of Norton Ghost having used it to make image copies of my whole drive ( no matter how many partitions it has) so I can simply reinstall windows with all my apps and updated drivers intact. Norton Ghost didn't support win 7 in 2009 so I either used Acronis True Image or the...
