AOMEI Backup Question

Hey guys, clearly I don't backup often enough or I would no how to do this. I just went to do a Backup and don't see the USB I am using to backup, why would this be? Here is what I see, in the dropdown I don't see the F: Drive which is my USB.

Looks to me like you need to highlight what you want to backup before you will see the where to backup option. Once you highlight what you want to backup you should be able to browse to your USB.

Callender, yes I tried the Dropdown but no USB F: Drive there? Your first answer did not work either. I know the USB is mounted but why is it not showing up, maybe a reboot with it in the Drive will help.

This is interesting Callender, maybe this will help. My E Drive Partition is surrounded by Green, along with my Over provisioning Partition. The E Drive is not being used at this time, it was for a future install of Linux, but may not happen now. As you can see the USB F Drive is there and mounted but still don't appear in Dropdown? Plenty of Space left on USB F also. Never had this issue before?

Also, again, yes I used the Dropdown, just couldn't get a screenshot of it. Need a new Screenshot tool that includes a Delay.

There is also a choice in the Drop down "Clean History" but afraid to click on it.

All that I can come up with is that the destination drive needs to be other than 4096 bytes per sector.

AOMEI Backupper doesn't recognize the drives or doesn't recognize correctly

Just check a couple of my USB flash drives and they are 512 bytes per sector.

If it's an empty drive try reformatting it then ejecting it. Then plug it in and try again.

Just checked with AOMEI Partition Editor and it is 512 bytes per sector. Not having a good computer day lol. along with other issues I mean.

It's not an empty drive, so rather not format.

In that case maybe try another USB when you've got a spare one handy. I must admit that I use Macrium Reflect for backup and tend to store them on a non windows partition rather than USB.

I've used Aomei Onekey Recovery in the past and also have Aomei Partition Assistant Pro and Aomei PE Builder installed. Never had problems with them.

I see one suggestion is to uninstall Aomei Backupper before rebooting then rerunning the installer. I suppose that it's worth a shot.

Yeah, Macrium...that was a big decision for me, which one to use that would be best for W7, and all the info I read led me to AOMEI. I know, things are tight ya know lol. I really need a backup drive, but next time will stick with my Lexar USB's they treat me right. This one is a PNY you may have seen. I'll get it eventually.

If I get a backup drive, will I need a Powered Adapter also to use it. That would mean a little extra on the bill. The drives seem to be about 60.00 US, and then some type of USB Adapter.

Just thinking. With lots of free space on F why not partition it and create an NTFS partition for test purposes. Maybe Aomei will be able to see that?
