    Trouble creating system image

    Hi

I understand that when saving the image to a network that the machine has to be Wins 7

I've tried saving it to a 64G iPod, get a msg requesting I name the external storage as.. ...yada yada

Is there something I'm missing here

    Thanks

The lower versions of Windows 7 cannot save to a network location. Professional is the lowest version the feature is available in.

The only external storgage I have is a 64Gb ipod, its empty and just been formated in FAT, but after a minute after the imaging process starts I get a msg saying please insert removable storge and label it compname_image etc

Oh and all other computers on the network are XP and Vista

I think my question is, can I send the image to my ipod?

    Thanks again

Possibly. Give it a try, and let us know how it works out. As far as I know, it should work.

    Problem solved!

Converted the iPod to NTFS and all was good!

    Silly me! :-(
