    TI 2010 only cost me $23.99. A 1TB external harddrive would cost me several times that amount.

    It would give you more then 900GB of space formatted as NTFS.

    True, but disk space is not much of a factor for me at the moment. I have 3 500GB drives...not counting another in my secondary rig, and there is plenty of space left on them. I have never had any luck with operating an external drive, so I will just add internals as I need them. I never had a true external drive though, I just had a couple of internal drives in an enclosure connected via a Silicon Image controller card.
