| | Windows 7 DVD - backup Hello, I have just bought a 3 license install for Windows 7 home premium for my family. Because it will be used by my children who have their own laptops i wanted to make them a copy if they need the DVD when i am not here. Am i allowed to do this as i have a 3 license version? If i am allowed, what is the best software to use to make the DVD backup? Preferably free. Thanks, |

| | Yes, for personal use it's deemed reasonable to make backups. In my personal opinion you'd do better to make a drive image and back it up than simply copy the original DVD (so check out tools like Acronis TrueImage...) However for making an image of a DVD, and burning copies, something like UltraISO (free 30 day trial offered on their website) should do the job admirably  |
