If you mean back up drivers from your currently running os, this seems to work well. It needs net bloatwork, can't recall if it wants 3.5 or 4.0 up.

I am using the latest Macrium Reflect version and as usual, I image my hard disk by opening up Reflect in Windows but I have realized while restoring my hard disk with the restore/rescue media that I can also image my hard disk from the rescue media Windows PE environment. I wonder which is the faster method>?
Hi
I'd guess that it's faster to image from the installed program on the HDD since you're already booted into Windows.
I always use the boot media method (CD) since I like to verify the "worst-case" method, no OS, wiped HDD, etc. That way I know I can boot from the WinPE CD and the Imaging (and cloning) processes produce complete bootable spare HDD's.
I haven't yet tried it within Windows. I want to do that soon to compare the elapsed time differences with the WinPE boot method.
