"Is the image located on another physical disk as where C was?=> this is impossible to restore with linux version"
The location is the same;the partition is only formatted and has the same dimension.
The Linux Rescue CD cannot recognize your internal hard disk(s) therefore you cannot select any destination partition(s) to overwrite.
This is possibly because you are using an unrecognized SATA mode. Go to your BIOS settings for your main hard disk controller and check for an option like ‘Compatibility’, IDE or legacy mode. Try this restore again. After succesfull restore... just before reboot to windows change sata settings back in BIOS[/QUOTE]
I have no such options available in my bios.
Many thanks for your help
Many thanks.I'll try again with this later because now is not available:
"Sorry, something went wrong Please try again. If you keep seeing this message, go to Service status to check whether there's a problem with SkyDrive or to report the issue. ".
Try this - there is no demo version - it is completely free. It makes winpe for you without needing huge waik download. It is an excellent product.
Download free backup restore software ? AOMEI Backupper Freeware.
The page for WIN PE is still unavailable.Sometimes ask me for account and after I create one I receive: " There's a temporary problem There's a temporary problem with the service. Please try again. If you continue to get this message, try again later. " Do you know another link ? My image is located on external disk.I tried with an image located on other partition but the results are the same.

it's there in 10 minutes
Connect external drive to usb2 port instead ubs3.0 if not working!
If you have a usb3 external HDD containing the image then you should try to eventually get the restore working on via usb3. You will get ~ 3x speed improvement. You need to load the usb3 drivers (load the *.inf file). It works fine with Macrium.
