Yes Danny. The apps are in a compressed format and they should be unpacked and launched when you select them.

Thanks Keith will have a look into it.

Nup cant find anything in mini xp mode.Nothing obvious anyway.Looks quite complicated to be honest so will have a better look when I have more time.Macrium Recovery works fine from my Usb and thats what I needed.

Renaming is useful isn't it !

By the way. You can make a pe disk using the new version 5 trial that caters for USB3 drivers and avoids the linux boot problem some have.
Also, the Hirens v14 has Macrium built in to it's mini XP environment. Make images and restore from the boot disk. You can also use your USB3 drivers.
It's there and very useful. Look a bit harder and you will find it.

Ok finally got this working as it should. The problem was YUMI.It doesn't add the applications menu button to the mini xp mode so it was useless. I just put Hirens on a separate Usb and booted using Grub4Dos and sure enough in the system tray is an icon for the applications. So I know have Macrium recovery tool in 3 locations.Should be save from here on :)

Don't know why but under YUMI all I get when I access xp mode is 2 icons on the desktop My computer and safely remove hardware. No sign of the applications anywhere.Where as using Grub4Dos there all the options and this icon on the desktop and system tray to launch the apps.

What version of YUMI and hirens did you use.Did you add anything else to the Usb apart from the ISO.

I'm using YUMI 0.0.2.4 and Hirens 14. I do have a quite a bit of other stuff on there. A W7 repair ISO, Macrium PE v5, Puppy Linux and a few other utilities.

I wonder if that's the difference I used 0.0.2.6 and 14.1. It boots fine(I also have loads of other Iso's on it) enter mini xp mode fine loads then unlike the Grub4Dos one doesn't seem to load everything up.I can access all HD's and things like that but there's just no tools link.
Would you mind when you get a minute capturing a screenshot of the hirens entries on your usb so I can compare with mine.

Actually it is YUMI 0.0.2.6. I have both and missed the later one. Screenshots and menu lists attached as text files. I can't remember which version I initially created the USB tho.
