If you have a usb3 external HDD containing the image then you should try to eventually get the restore working on via usb3. You will get ~ 3x speed improvement. You need to load the usb3 drivers (load the *.inf file). It works fine with Macrium.
Indeed with WIN PE works perfectly. I am pleasant surprized about the accurracy of backup. CD rescue really help me even in the hypothetical case that a virus oblige me to clear and format the system partition.I'll check these days all the facilities of the backup software.

It's a good ideea about USB 3.0. I have an external WD 2TB, but one of my PC is an old laptop.I have to check if it support 3.0.
    Many thanks

    SkyDrive Account?

A pre-built WinPE ISO has been provided by whs. You just need to burn it to disk.https://skydrive.live.com/redir?resi...8CA6D4035!1812
Do you have to have a SkyDrive account?

The page doesn't display properly in FF19 and when I click on the tile I get taken to a sign in page.

Sorry guys. There must be some sort of permission problem - although the permissions look OK. Try this link:

They both work for me, I'm always signed in to my live account though.

Still no luck (with either link).
When I click on the tile, FF19 and IE9 both go to the "Sign In" page.

I'll stoke up my VM and see what happens if I try Chrome, Maxthon and Opera.

    Update
No luck with those browsers either (with either link).

What happens when you right click on the tile. Do you have the 'Download' option?

It works OK for me. I use Chrome and am signed in to my account.

If I log out of my account it's different but still works.

Yes I do, but clicking it still takes me too the sign in page. This maybe is due to MS pushing Outlook out and removing hotmail, they don't have it right yet for everyone.
