System Restore issue

Hello Everyone,

I recently upgraded to Windows 7 Ultimate 32-bit edition. My problem is with system restore. Everytime I turn off my computer and turn it on again it erases all my system restore points. I don't know y it is doing this because I have it set to 4% of my hard drive which is 9.36GB, which would take alot more than 1 restore point to fill up. Is this normal or is this a problem and do other have problems with this as well?

Have you looked in the Event Viewer to see if anything is listed?

Administrative Tools>Event Viewer. Or just type event viewer into the start menu.

Hello Gabriel, and welcome to Seven Forums.

In addition, are you dual booting with XP? If so, then this may help. Just substitute Vista with Windows 7 in the steps.

Gabriel,

Are you running any cleaning porgrams (ex: CCleaner) that may have a option to delete restore points?

Is it deleting all restore points, or all but the most recent one? If just all but the most recent one, then you might see if bumping it up to 10% may help keep more stored?

If it is all of them, then you might consider doing a repair install.
