W7 Backup using too much space? This issue has been solved. When I first ran the Windows 7 backup utility it used approximately 212GB, which is what the file size is now, however back then my H-drive showed I had about 248GB left (600-140-212=248). Now, for some odd reason, during weekly backups, the available space on the H-drive seems to be decreasing at large rates, whereas the Windows 7 backup file remains about the same size, 212GB. As of now, the available space left on the drive is 79.6GB, but the backup file, which was just done 13 Dec, still shows 212GB used. Well the math just doesn’t add up! 140 + 212 = 352. Minus 352 from 600 should leave me with 248GB left…not 79.6!
Thanks Never Mind...I figured it out. It's the older backups that's not showing up in the drive
