Acronis MigrateEasy or Seagates Disk Wizard ?

Someone earlier recommended Acronis to prepare my drives for W7 pro...clone my existing C: drive ( XP Pro current installation ) and formate my D: drive ( bootable W2000 previous installation )

Will Seagate's Disk Wizard accomplish the same thing as MigrateEasy 7 ?

    Thanks, Tim

If you have at least one Seagate/Maxtor drive , you can use DiskWizard/Maxblast.

I just looked at the site for Migrate Easy 7.

It does look like DiskWizard will do the same thing in terms of clone and imaging.

Migrate seems to include some partitioning functios as well.

I have no idea how reliable the Acronis partitioning functions are. There are plenty of horror stories.

You could use Free Download Partition Wizard(free) if you need to partition as well.
