Not that it in itself is the deciding factor, but Iseem to have the problem of backing up many large disks. Incremental image backup for me s essential. So, if you want that for free, PAragon is your only choice. I have worked with all of the above, I backup during the night to a network disk. I think the size of the backup (network speed) is what determines the speed for me.

I just went through an image/restore session on my own Raid-0 volume using the Macrium trial, and I must say its pretty slick. My only gripe is that it cannot partition RAW drives. So you have to launch the command prompt in the PE environment, use Diskpart to create the partition, then reboot before Macrium could see it. That would probably be the only real issue I see. I have Acronis WD Edition installed, but I am reviewing Macrium Pro for my internal system imaging needs across several systems. The dissimilar hardware image is intriguing to say the least. I will be trying that soon on another system to move a user from one system to another.

Additional: For my regular data backups, I use Cobian Backup 10 to make shadow copies to a 1TB drive, then shadow that whole drive to a network location and to a USB drives. Its free, very straight forward to use, almost non-existant in resource, and relatively bulletproof to use.
