I used the one from yesterday when things were up and running, as you suggested . After the printer problem I made another Restore Point.
I am sorry to bother you again, but this seems just way too easy.
Great feature. | My System Specs |

Great feature. First, no problem, everyone here donates their time to help others and will give you as much time as you require.
If you have a restore point that you know is good, use it again. Make the system image, as I suggested. You seem to like to "tinker" with and tweak your computer. | My System Specs | | System Manufacturer/Model Number Dell XPS 420 OS Windows 7 Home Premium SP1, clean install, upgrade disc CPU Intel Core2 processsor Q8200(2.33Ghz 1333FSB) Quad Core Tech Motherboard Dell Memory 6 gb Graphics Card ATI Radeon 256MB HD3650 Sound Card Intergrated 7.1 Channel Audio Monitor(s) Displays Dell SP2009W 20" Keyboard Dell USB Keyboard Mouse Dell Premium Optical USB Cooling Fan Hard Drives 640 GB Serial ATA Hard drive Internet Speed DSL 2.85 |

Satchmo,
What problems did you have that System Restore was not able to correct? | My System Specs | | System Manufacturer/Model Number Leveno15CN32 OS Microsoft Windowa Home Premium Memory 5.92 GB |

I am not Stachmo, but I will give a general answer. SR corrects only problems with the OS. It does not touch your personal documents or other areas on the HD.
That is why I advised, earlier, make a System Image, it remedies everything. | My System Specs | | System Manufacturer/Model Number Dell XPS 420 OS Windows 7 Home Premium SP1, clean install, upgrade disc CPU Intel Core2 processsor Q8200(2.33Ghz 1333FSB) Quad Core Tech Motherboard Dell Memory 6 gb Graphics Card ATI Radeon 256MB HD3650 Sound Card Intergrated 7.1 Channel Audio Monitor(s) Displays Dell SP2009W 20" Keyboard Dell USB Keyboard Mouse Dell Premium Optical USB Cooling Fan Hard Drives 640 GB Serial ATA Hard drive Internet Speed DSL 2.85 |

I am just curious, on a related note, how much drive space do most people dedicate for system restores? I think I reserved about 10 GB. I have 500 GB drive. I will never, never get close to using that. I have 90gb for SR, System Image and Backup and restore. | My System Specs | | System Manufacturer/Model Number Dell XPS 420 OS Windows 7 Home Premium SP1, clean install, upgrade disc CPU Intel Core2 processsor Q8200(2.33Ghz 1333FSB) Quad Core Tech Motherboard Dell Memory 6 gb Graphics Card ATI Radeon 256MB HD3650 Sound Card Intergrated 7.1 Channel Audio Monitor(s) Displays Dell SP2009W 20" Keyboard Dell USB Keyboard Mouse Dell Premium Optical USB Cooling Fan Hard Drives 640 GB Serial ATA Hard drive Internet Speed DSL 2.85 |

I think it may have something to do with my graphics card driver, but I can't be sure. | My System Specs | | System Manufacturer/Model Number Self-Built OS Windows 7 Home Premium 64 CPU Wolfdale Core 2 Duo E8400 Motherboard Gigabyte EP45-DS3L Memory 8GB PC2 6400 Graphics Card NVIDIA GeForce 260 GTX Sound Card Realtek 5.1 audio Monitor(s) Displays Samsung 23" widescreen Screen Resolution 2048x1152 Keyboard Logitech wireless keyboard Mouse Logitech G5 gaming mouse PSU Corsair 650W Case Antec 900 Cooling Arctic Cooling Freezer 7 Pro Hard Drives Seagate 640GB 7200 RPM SATA Internet Speed 3 Mbps DSL Other Info Built in December 2008 for US$985 |
