    System Restore Question?

I am about to Use System restore to set my computer back to a time before I messed around with my IP address to set up a wireless printer. Long Story......anyway, my question is.... If I restore to a point before my attempts to set up my printer, will it restore my IP address to that time as well?
Thanks for your help in advance.

Every thing should go back to the way it was. Before you go back, make system restore point, so that you could return to the present, if things do not work out.

We at seven forums try our best to give only the best service. Glad that you noticed. If after the restore, you have trouble going on line. Shut down your computer and modem. Boot up and turn on the modem. You should be surfing on the net.

    Report:
I did a System Restore as suggested and that took care of it.
I can predict I will be using that feature in the future.
Thanks again for your help and prompt reply.

I am just as happy as you are, really glad that I was here for your.

One more hint. Make a system image. Put it on a separate hard drive. Put it away. If you ever have big problems, you can install again, without losing programs, or having to reactivate. Good luck

    OK I am back
I have done another not so swift thing to my computer.
I made that restore point yesterday for the printer.
Is that the point I go back to now to fix my new self inflicted problem?

If you have a restore point that reflects a time that everything worked, you can use it again.

When you are done and evrything works, make a system image. Put it on a separate hard drive and put it away. Whenever you have future probems, you can use that image to correct what you have done.

System Restore doesn't fix all problems. There were a few occasions that I could not fix my system by reverting to a previous restore point.

I am just curious, on a related note, how much drive space do most people dedicate for system restores? I think I reserved about 10 GB.
