[SOLVED} Hard drive app like Acronis Disk Director

Hey guys im looking for something i can use that is like disk director as we all know disk director does not work for windows 7. Basically i have 3 partitions setup on my hard drive, one is for files one is the OS and the other one is empty. I want to combine two of those partitions together and normally i would do it with disk director. Anybody know of any other programs to make this happen?

    Thanks!

    Welcome!

First, could you please post a screenshot of your Disk Management window?

Try using Partition Wizard. I'm not 100% sure what you are trying to do, but I know that program can do a lot.

Depends to where you want to extend. If it is to the right of the partition (as seen by disk management), it is easy. If it is different, it is more involved using disk management. That's why a picture of disk management (as Jonathan suggested) would be helpful to give you further guidance.

What i want to do is to allocate all the free space to drive C. It does not give me the option to extend or do anything else in disk management

First you have to right click on the "free space" and delete the partition. Then it becomes "unallocated". From here you can add it to C (extend C).

Tried that and it still doesn't work. I downloaded Paragon Partition Manager Free Edition and it worked like a charm! All i had to do was delete the free space and then it became unallocated, then increased my HD size...worked perfectly! Didn't even have to reboot!

So i can confidently say, Paragon Partition Manager works great on Windows 7.
